Playcraft produced a range of HO
products for the British market in the 1960's. The main outlet for
the products was Woolworths and prices were very keen. Both Tri-ang
and Hornby-Dublo were forced to produce lower cost starter sets as a
result of the introduction of this brand into the UK market. The
range was manufactured by Jouef of France. Playcraft products are
sought after by the HO enthusiasts in the UK as many of the British
outline coaches are reasonably detailed for the period and have
interiors. The wagons are also becoming collectable as they have
fragile detail and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find
wagons in one piece.
