We take take the packaging of your goods seriously at Vintage Model Trains and we want them to arrive at their destination in the same condition that that leave. Where possible goods are shipped in quality rigid flute corrugated board boxes with tamper evident locking flaps. The boxes have triple thickness of board on the sides to give greater strength and rigidity. Appropriate void fill is utilised to prevent movement of items within the box. Where, for reasons of size, items cannot be shipped in a standard box then they will be shipped with a protective wrap which may be bubblewrap or card or both. Shipping rates include the cost of the packaging, tape, address labels and other shipping overheads in addition to the charge levied by the carrier (normally The Royal Mail). To keep your shipping costs down, shipping is normally second class where possible with a recorded delivery if appropriate. Overseas shipping will be by airmail unless we are advised otherwise.
